Good Tuesday to any and all who may drop by here. I have never created a blog before so am new at this.
I want to begin by saying that I am a horseperson; not a whisperer or cowboy, but a person who lives for horses as much as my lifestyle allows. I want to connect with other horse folks to get their ideas with regard to horse keeping, riding, feeding and everything horse related.
I have two mares; one 24 year old Morgan mare and an almost 10 year old Paint mare. Very good girls they are, too!! This blog is named for my Morgan mare, Tess. She was trained under an English saddle and is an insecure girl. Well, not so much after almost 16 years together, but she was and still could be a 'run-a-way'. She has damaged her legs; tendons and such, and now has ringbone. We ride in the arena and on the property where I board, but no trails. It would cripple her further, especially if she ran away again.
My Paint mare, Ms. Fizz is a wonderful trail horse. She reminds me of Goldie Hawn when she was giggling on 'Laugh-In'. She knows when it's time for work and when she can be just a silly girl. She rarely spooks and never runs off! Right now she is recovering from a deep digital flexor tendon injury. Pasture play got a bit whizzy. I'm hoping to be back on the trails soon.
Well, let's see if anyone finds this blog and speaks up.
